Another week, lots of learning!

We have almost survived the third week of school!  The students are showing so much enthusiasm for learning which makes each day a great day in Kindergarten!

Just a small reminder:  We have PE on both Tuesdays and Friday until after Christmas.  Kindergartners will begin Computers on Fridays in January.  Please have your child wear his/her PE uniform (black St. Rose pe shorts/sweatpants and red or gray pe uniform t-shirt) to school on both Tuesdays and Fridays until January.  If your child has yet to receive their particular uniform items that you ordered for them to wear to PE, please have them wear black gym/soccer shorts and a plain red/gray t-shirt until these items arrive.  Also,  please make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes each day following the school shoe uniform code, not just on PE days.  The major thing to keep in mind is that shoes can NOT slip on, they must have shoe laces that are long enough so that they can be TIED (and can be accompanied by velcro as well).  Shoes stay on their feet better if they are tied up tight.  I will assist with helping the children tie their shoes as often as needed, but it is important that the laces be long enough to tie fully.  Thank you for helping me keep your children safe during play time ;).

In Reading, we are working on reviewing our letters and howto correctly write them.  Math, we are learning how to correctly write each number and working on our counting skills as well as patterns and following directions.  We are enjoying learning about God and his Creations in Religion.

Please don't forget that we will not have school on Friday, September 2 so the teachers can meet and discuss how our year is going at a Faculty Meeting.  We will also not have school on Monday, September 5 due to the Labor Day holiday.  Have a GREAT 4 day weekend!
