Fall Fun!!

We had lots of fun this week continuing to learn about our letters - especially the correct sound each letter makes and how to write it correctly!  We learned about the wonderful creations God made for us and talked about some of our favorite gifts from God.  I was so excited to hear that most of the children think their families and parents are the greatest gifts God has created.  In math, we continued to work on writing our letters correctly and counting our way towards 100 :).  We ended our week with a quick unit on apples.  I asked each of the students to bring in an apple earlier in the week and they were so curious as to what we were going to use the apples for.  Long behold, we used them to do a taste test of and to also make apple sauce with!  They were so excited to get to help me with the process of making the apple sauce, they could hardly contain themselves ;)  I'm pretty sure the honeycrisp apple was their favorite.  We will begin the 2nd quarter of learning on Monday, and I can't wait to experience all of the "new" learning the students will be doing as we move deeper into our curriculum.  They amaze me more and more every day :).Reminder, AR will start over for the 2nd quarter and parent/teacher conferences are being scheduled as we speak for October 24 and 25 from 4-8pm both nights. I look forward to talking to each child's parents about the learning we have been doing thus far, and about the learning we will be doing for the rest of the year.  We are slowly climbing our way up to harder skills and I can't wait to watch each of my students grow and learn new things.
