It's May!

posted May 7, 2018, 10:37 AM by Jamie Austin
Well, it is finally the month of May, one of the most busiest months of the school year!  We are quickly finishing up our Math, Reading, and Religion Curriculum for the school year.  The students are all working very hard to become strong readers.  Most of the students have passed both the pre-primer and primer set of sight words and are working on finishing our Buddy Reading program.  We have also been hard at work preparing for our Kindergarten completion Mass.  The students are practicing very hard to make this a wonderful memory to finish out their year in Kindergarten.

It is so hard to believe that we only have 7 days of Kindergarten left!

Here are a few Kindergarten reminders as we wrap up the remainder of the school year:

Fiekld Day is this Friday, May 11.  Ms. Patt ihas been workingvery hard on the setup and planning to make this a fun day for everyone.  All information about teams, colors to wear, and what/what not to bring to school the day of will be listed on her classroom page if it isn't already.

Don't forget, Kindergarten's last day of school is Wednesday, May 16.  You are all invited to join us for Mass at 8am.  Kindergarten will be leading/hosting this Mass.  We will finish Mass by receiving Certificates of Completion and special medals.  After Mass, all are invited to the Cafeteria for a small reception hosted by the Preschool Parents.  If you have not turned in the number of family members/friends attending this reception, please do so ASAP so we can get an idea of how many treats to provide for the celebration.  The reception usually ends around 10am and your children are free to go with you at that time.  If you are unable to attend the Mass and reception, please make arrangements to have your child picked up from school by 10 am.

Most importantly, I want to take this time to say thank you to each of the Kindergarten families for sharing your son/daughter with me this past school year.  They have each learned so much!  It has definitely been a GREAT school year and a well deserved summer :).  I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall as we begin our new adventure as Teachers, Staff, and Students of ALL SAINTS ACADEMY at ST. ROSE PHILIPPINE DUCHESNE!  May you all have a BLESSED SUMMER!
