It is so hard to believe that it is almost the end of the school year and the Kindergartners only have 12 days of school left! I guess it is true when they say, “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun!” The students have all learned so much this year and have come so far since the first day of school!! Below, are just a few notes to help you make it until the end of the year as there is a lot going on and we aren't slowing down for anything ;) I will continue to assess the students on their sight word lists. Most of them have passed the first set and are well on their way to passing the second set. Please continue to practice these words at home as well. Hopefully, everyone will pass both sets by the week of May 13th, fingers crossed! *NO SCHOOL - FRIDAY MAY 3 (Faculty Meeting Day) *The Last day to take AR tests is Monday, May 15. *Field Day is Wednesday, May 15. *There is NO SCHOOL on Thursday, May 16th and Friday, May 17th due to the setting up and running of the School Festival which is scheduled for the weekend of May 17- May 19.
*Kindergarten’s last day of school will be WEDNESDAY, MAY 15. The students are asked to wear nice clothes to school on this day, as we will be hosting the All School Mass. Mass will begin at 8 am in the school Church. Please send your child to the classroom beforehand so that you may go ahead to the Church and find a seat with your family. We will line up in the classroom and proceed into Church one at a time. This will be a special Mass for the children, as it will signify the completion of their year in Kindergarten. It is not considered a Graduation, but an end of year celebration. The students will have various parts in the Mass as well. I will do my best to include all students, but unfortunately there are not 21 individual parts. After Mass, all family members will be invited over to the Cafeteria for a reception to congratulate your student on completing a WONDERFUL year in Kindergarten. This should end by 10 o’clock a.m. At this time, you and your child are free to leave and start your summer! Please make arrangements to have your child picked up from school by 10 o’clock a.m. if you are unable to attend the Mass and reception. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Thank you for sharing your child with me this school year, it has definitely been a wonderful year, a year that I will always remember! I have been so blessed to watch each of the kindergartners grow daily, thank you for sharing them with me this year! |
