Sept. 16-20

This week we kept it simple.  The students celebrated Dot Day, which was Sunday the 15.  We read "The Dot" by Peter Reynolds and did some dot art work.  Some students bought theirs home, and some decided to leave them with me to display.  I will send them home in a few weeks.
Many of the older students (5-8) came to check out, take AR tests, return, and renew during their testing breaks. This was a great use of time for them and gave them a chance to rest the mind some before getting back to it.
If you receive an "overdue" notice from the library, please just take a look around.  If your child is not done reading it, have them bring me the book so I can renew it.  I can only renew if I see the book, they just have to hold it up and ask or drop it in the renew box on my desk.  I return them to the homerooms if they drop it on the way to a class.  Thank you and I will see everyone next week!
