Classroom Updates:
PreK and Kindergarten students have been introduced to basic words such as greetings, colors, names of the members of the family, different parts of the body, names of the months, seasons and classroom items. We will continue reviewing and adding new basic words and activities appropriate to their age as they master the current vocabulary. Easter vocabulary and activities will be included. 1st Grade has been introduced to basic greetings, colors, numbers up to 15, nouns of immediate members of the family and names of items in the classroom. During the current semester after Christmas, new vocabulary will include the months of the year and seasons, classroom vocabulary and clothing and personal items. Easter vocabulary and activities will be included. 2nd and 3rd Grade has been introduced to basic greetings vocabulary, colors, numbers up to twenty, classroom items and parts of the body and family members. During this semester leading to Spring and Easter, we will work on the names of the months and seasons, foods, clothing and personal items. Easter vocabulary and activities will be included.
4th and 5th Grade have been introduced to basic greetings, colors, names of classroom items, numbers up to 100, days of the week, months and basic body parts. In preparation for deeper grammatical issues that students will be introduced as they advance to higher grades, some basic concepts of Spanish grammar will be introduced, such as genders, articles, personal and possessive pronouns and basic understanding of verbs conjugation will be part and 6th Grade has been introduced to personal greetings and introductions, numbers, genders of nouns and personal pronouns. As we advance during the second semester we will start working on basic grammar leading to sentence building and also vocabulary.
7th and 8th Grades have been introduced to personal greetings, introductions, classroom vocabulary, numbers and basic understanding of the genders of the nouns and personal pronouns, days of the week, months and dates. As we advance during the second semester we will start working on basic grammar leading to sentence building, regular verbs and verbal practice with emphasis on pronunciation and vocabulary building. |
