Dear Parent(s),
It's so nice to see the sun again!!!  It's hard to believe but this is our last full week of school!  Coming home with your child on Monday is the information package for the Parish Festival.  Everything you need to know about purchasing tickets is explained in that letter.  This coming week the boys will be having their mass.  If they can bring a can good in that would be wonderful!
We will be covering the following topics this week:

Religion:  We are finishing up on our unit about how we are all called to Holiness through our calling from God called a vocation.

English:  The children are writing stories that they will read to our preschoolers.  We are working with Mr. Murphy in the computer lab to have these stories typed and made to look for realistic for our little friends.

Math:  This week we will be writing number sentences for division problems, multiplying a single number by 10, 100's and 1000's.

Spelling:  This weeks unit 30 words are words that review the patterns from the past five units.  ( two syllable words with short vowel, final ling e sounds, dropping the final e before adding the ending) The children have their new words in their planners.

Reading:  We will be finishing up our story, Tops and Bottoms at the early part of this week, and the children have been told the test for this story will be Thursday and Friday.  We will be reviewing idioms ( many children have been able to come up with many of these on their own), and verb tenses.

Have a great weekend!  Get out and enjoy our beautiful weather!
