Dear Parent(s), Such a wonderful day for our Field Day! Thanks for all the parents who were able to make it out. The children were so good and they appeared to be having such a great time. We couldn't have asked for a better day. This coming week is going to go very fast with all the activities that are planned. Please checked Mrs. McKay's newsletter as well for anything as well. This Wednesday is our last day of the week due to our Parish Festival! The weather is suppose to be great this year! Tuesday we are scheduled to have our talent show around 1:30 in the gym. Not sure how long that is expected to last. I can't wait to see the wonderful acts. This coming Wednesday is our kindergarten's last day of school which starts up with a wonderful mass. As always you are always free to join us for our services. The following are the topics we will be covering this week: Religion: This week we are continuing our chapter over the seven sacraments. We will be learning how Holy Orders and Matrimony are Sacraments of Service. Math: This week we will be identifying a function rule, simplifying expressions containing parentheses, and writing tenths using common decimal fractions. Spelling: We are taking our spelling unit 32 on Monday. We will begin unit 33 which will be our last unit this year. These words follow the er and est pattern. English: The children are almost finished with their stories. They will be sharing their stories some time after our parish festival. The A.R program is now over. I'm very pleased with our students who have pushed themselves and reached some outstanding goals. they will be going to the library to drop off theri raffle tickets to hopefully win some great prizes. Reading: We will be starting our new story called Aero and Officer Mike. The vocabulary words are lying, partners, quiver, ability, loyal, shift, patrol, and snap. The skills for this story are contractions with n't, 't, 'd 've. We will also be working with words that have the ar, or, and ore pattern. Have a great weekend. Please pray for my daughter as she will be graduating from the nursing program this Saturday!!! |
