Dear Parent(s),
Thought I would get a jump onto what will be covered after testing week.  The kiddos are acting so grown up, and quiet while and when finished taking their test. So proud of them!!!  The following are the topics that will be covered next week.  Have a great testing week and weekend.

We will be finishing up chapter 2 with an open book test on Tuesday.  Chapter 3 covers how Jesus has the power to overcome death, and how He will come again at the end of time.

English:  We will be covering nouns in the subject, singular and plural nouns and nouns that end with es and the rules that apply to that.

Spelling:  The children have their new words in their planners.  This weeks words follow the abstract vowels of ou, and oi pattern.  The words this week are: proud, boil, loud, house, join, cloud, sound, voice, oil, round, point, south, found, soil, ground.

Math;  We will begin the week reviewing rounding numbers to the nearest tens and hundreds.  We will also review our use of partial sums to add.  This week will also be using the place value boxes to regroup one and two times.

Social Studies:  We are skill covering the three types of communities.

Reading:  We are starting a new story , " Destiny's Gift.  This is a realistic fiction story. Some of the skill covered in this story are common vowel patterns ai, ay, ee, and ea.  We will also be learning about feelings, traits, and motivations.  The story also introduces conjunctions.

Have a wonderful weekend!
