Dear Parent(s),
Can't believe we are heading into the month of October!!! This past week a note from our head room-mother was sent home to each student asking for several things to be donated for our class party coming up at the end of the month.  Please help so the children have a wonderful Halloween Party.  Thank you Mrs. Kelsey for taking charge to lead our class this year.  This week the children have their first mass of the year. Pleas have your child bring in a can good to help build up our food pantry. This coming Friday is a 12:00 dismissal.  If your child is attending aftercare that day, they will need to bring a lunch and something to drink.
The following are the topics we will be covering this week.

Religion: This week we will be covering Final Judgement Day,and how Jesus teaches to loves others.   The beginning of nesxt week we will have an open book test over Chapter 3.

Spelling:  This weeks words follow the ew, oo pattern. The words this week are: crew, loose, news, school, drew, knew, smooth, pool, shoot, threw, roof, fool, chew, balloon, choose.

English:  The week we will be covering the special plural nouns, ex: child vs. children. Singular possessive nouns, and plural possessive nouns

Reading: We will be reviewing run on sentences, long a,and e spellings, antonyms, and simple and compound sentences.

Math: We are adding with three digit numbers and also working with estimating by using 10"s 100's and front end estimation. We will also be learing how to read problem stories.  I like to spend two days on each lesson since their seems to be a lot of information thrown at the children all at the same time.  Parents please remember to sign those planners and math attacks nightly.

Have a great weekend!
