Dear Parent(s).
Hopefully you had a wonderful time with family and friends during your Thanksgiving break.  Can't believe that this year is flying by so quickly.  Today a letter from Mrs. Kelsey is coming home with some items she is needing for our next big party.  Can't believe that is only a few weeks away too.  This week we should be back to normal.  Below are the topics we will be covering this week.  Stay safe and warm!

Religion:  We passed out parts for our mass on December 5th.  Please work with your child as I will if they will be reading at the mass.  This week we will be learning about the different seasons in the church year, and about how long each of those seasons are.

Math:  This week we get into some multiplication with representing multiplication using addition, on a number line, and using an array.  Hopefully your children have been going through their flashcards nightly!

Reading: We began our new story What Do Illustrators Do?  The new vocabulary words for this story are: textures, research, tracing, sketches, imagine, tools, illustrate, scribbles.  The skills for this story are three letter clusters scr, srp, str, thr. We will also be reviewing present, past and future verbs. Synonyms are also being reviewed as well in this Chapter.

English:  We will be working more with irregular verbs,Contractions with the word not, and using more exact verbs when writing.  The children will be having a test some time next week over Unit 3.  Please pay close attention to their planners, and they will be bringing home their books as well for you to help them to prepare.

Science:  The children this week will be learning about the different moon phases.

Have a wonderful week!
