Dear Parent(s),
This coming Friday is a noon dismissal.  If your child will be attending aftercare this day they will need to bring a lunch and a drink with them.  The children's Christmas Concert is December 18th.  Just wanted to make sure you added this to your schedule.  The show begins at 6:30.  More information will be sent later through the school newsletter page. The following are the topics we will be covering this week:

Religion:  The children have mass this week.  If you can make it I'm sure your child would be thrilled.  Pleas allow them to bring in a can food item for the food pantry.  Thanks in advance.  This past week Mrs. Kelsey sent home a letter with items she is needing for our next party.  Thanks to all who have sent in items to help.  If not I will make sure Owen gets them to his mom.

Math:  This week we will be reviewing representing multiplication using a number line, how to make an array using multiplication, and how to multiply with the commutative property.  Please keep reviewing those math facts nightly!

Reading:  This week we will be starting a new story entitled Harvest Birds.  The vocabulary words for this story are: harvest, separate, ashamed, borders, advice, borrow, patch, serious.  The skills that go along with this story are silent letters kn, wr.  We will also be learning how to use commas in a series.

Science:  We will be learning about what the sun and the planets are like.  Each child will also be building their own solar system.

Spelling:  This week our words follow the long e pattern.  The words are: many, any, seem, deep, week, idea, video, city, lucky, busy, Halloween, asleep, secret, even.

English:  We are preparing for our English test that should be on Wednesday.  The children have been asked to bring their book home as well so that you too can help them get ready.  The test is over Verbs.  If the test for some reason is changed to another day it will be marked in their planners.  Please continue to sign planners, and math attacks nightly!

Have a wonderful weekend!
