Dear Parent(s),
Can't believe we are now in the month of February!  Catholic Schools Week was a lot of fun with many activities for the children to do.  Sounds like they had a blast roller skating Wednesday night. Mrs. Kelsey sent a note home last week regarding our last school party of the year.  Please help her if you are able.  Thanks again Mrs. Kelsey for heading up our class parties this year!  The following are the topics we are covering this week:

Religion:The church teaches us in many ways.  We will be discussing the Apostle's Creed, and how the Holy Spirit guides our church.  The girls will be doing our next mass which is next Wednesday.  If you can make it, we would love to have you there.  The girls who will be reading will get their readings today.

Spelling:  This weeks words follow the w, wh sound.  The words are:was, warm, want, went, where, what, when, watched, wear, would, wheel, whip, whale, while.

Math:  This week we will be working with the 5's and 9's multiplication facts.  Please continue to work on the facts at home as well.

English:  We will be working with introductory words, combining sentences using commas, and commas in a series.

Reading: This week will be using one  of our theme books and will be journaling the adventures of Amos and Boris.  This story does not have a test with it, but does involve the children to write quite a bit.

Social Studies:  The children will continue to do research on their famous Black Person in History.  Remember the projects are due February 19th. They will begin their presentations that day.

Have a great week.  Hopefully, the weather will stay this nice.
