Dear Parent(s), 
    Can't believe it is snowing again!!! Remember the children are off on Monday because of President's Day.  The children's social studies projects are due on Tuesday when they return.  Please have them wear their school uniforms and I will have them change into their outfits before we give our presentations.  Can't wait to see them.  Parents please continue to encourage your child to read nightly, not everyone has made those A.R goals. The following are the topics we will be covering this coming week:

Social Studies:  The children will begin doing their presentations on Tuesday.  We have been invited to St. Catherine's Home, next door, to give our presentations as well. We will be going their on Tuesday the 26th.

Spelling:  This weeks words are following the kn, wr, and st pattern.  The words are: knife, know, wrong, write, wrote, listen, Christmas, knee, knight, knock, wrap, wrestle, castle, whistle.

Reading:  We will beginning our new story this week entitled,Technology Wins the Game.  The skills that are being taught are vowels with oi, oy patterns, changing y to i before adding the endings, and irregular plural nouns.

English:  We have begun to prepare for our English test.  The test will be on Thursday of this coming week.  The children were asked to bring their books home again to review. 

Math: This week we will be multiplying by 10's, finding the patterns in a multiplication table, and solving for the unknown factor.

Religion:  The children will be having an open book test on Thursday covering the material in chapter nine.  They will be bringing home their book on Tuesday after we complete the review page on Tuesday.
