Dear Parent(s), Can't believe we are heading into the last week of March!!! In this weeks Friday Folders's is a letter about the upcoming fish Friday on April 12th. You can't miss it, it's on a bright orange piece of paper. Please if you can help in any way it is very much appreciated! Some of our third graders were able to help out today reading at the primary's Station of the Cross, they did an outstanding job. If you are free and would like to attend stations, it begins at 2:05 on Fridays during Lent. The following are some of the topics we will be covering this week. Math: This week we will be working with the 7 and 8 tables in multiplication. The children are doing a wonderful job with their multiplication facts!! Please continue to have them work with their facts nightly. Spelling: This week the words are following the vowel sound in uncle and moon. The words are study, summer, such, true, due, who, move, truck, uncle, Sunday, glue, clue, lose, movie. Religion: We continue to do activities revolving around core values and Lenten activities. English: This week we will be learning about the parts of a letter which will lead to them writing a letter to an adult who lives in your home. Hopefully, you will take time to send them a letter back so they can also see the process of also receiving a letter as well. Wait until a letter is sent before sending one. Reading: We continue to work with the story Yonder Mountain and will also read a short story about the Trail of Tears. The children will also see a short documentary about the Trail of Tears to see how our Native Americans were treated and forced to move from their settlements. Science: We are working with the topic of how matter can change in state. they will learn about physical and chemical reactions. Have a wonderful weekend!! |
