Dear Parent(s),
Hopefully you had a wonderful week!  This has been a very busy week!  The children have earned their key party and have voted to have a P.J / movie party. The party is on Tuesday of this coming week.  Of course the note is sitting on my desk as we speak.  Sorry about not having that in their Friday Folders.  As always if they do not want to wear pj's they can wear sweatpants.  The children are also allowed to bring one, small stuffed animal with them.  The following are the topics we will be covering this week:

Religion:  The children are working on a puppet show to help explain the Stations of the Cross to our preschoolers.  The boys will be practicing for their all school mass for April 10th.  Please have the boys bring a can good for the St. Vincent DePaul Society.  Thank you!!! The children will also get a chance to go to reconciliation this week on Tuesday.

Reading: Monday the children will be taking the second part of their reading tests for the story Yonder Mountain. The next story is Aero and Officer Mike.  The vocabulary words for that story are:lying, partner, loyal, shift, quiver, patrol, ability, snap.  Some of the skills taught in this lesson are words with ar, or,and ore. We will also be reviewing subject verb agreement, and the use of in, and im as a prefix.

Spelling:  Unit 23 words follow the pattern of correct order.  The words this week could be a little tricky so please take time to go over the words.  The words are: friend, night, thought, does, again, said, people, believe, tried, died, eight, tired, Friday, Saturday.

English:  The children will continue to work on their personal letters this week.  The children are working very hard on their letters.

Math:  This week the children will be learning how to use bar graphs to multiply, use problem solving strategies, and using the associative property to do multiplication problems.

Science:  We will be discussing how matter changes to different states, and what chemical and physical changes are.

Have a great weekend!
