Welcome to Holy Week!!! Remember the children last day before Easter is Wednesday. The following are the topics we will be covering this week:

 

Religion:  The children will be making a cross using clothes pins, and reading a seeing a video that will prepare our hearts for Easter.

Math:  The children will be going over the review page in their book to prepare for their math test on Tuesday.

Spelling:  Unit 24 is a review week. Because it is a review week they will be tested on twenty words.  The test will not be this week but on April 26th.  The words are: hammer, ladder, letter, middle, puddle, rabbit, noise, point, put, voice, clue, move, study, true, lawn, walking, again, believe, people, thought.

English:  The children will be completing their project in letter writing on Monday and than we will be moving onto folktales.

Reading:  The children will begin a story entitled The Extra Good Sunday from Ramona Quimby Age 8.  The vocabulary words are festive, ingredients, degree, recommended, anxiously, cross, remarked, tense. Some of the skills taught in this story are words that follow the er, ir, ur, or, verbs in the present, past and future will be reviewed.

Parents please check with your children about how they are doing so far with their A.R. goals.  Remember this quarter it is worth 10% for their reading grade. Please also don't forget to sign those mat attacks.
