Dear Parent(s),
Hard to believe we are now in the month of November!   A huge shout out to all our parents who were there to help with such a wonderful Halloween party.  Mrs. Hubert and Mrs. Thomas had some wonderful activities to keep the party moving so smoothly!  This coming Friday the children will not be in session due to faculty and federation meetings.
The following are the topics we will be covering this week.  Have a great weekend.

Religion: We are finishing up chapter five on Monday and will be taking our open book test on Tuesday.  This chapter is about our early ancestors of the church and how brave they were to be Christians in a place were being a Christian was against the law. We will be taking about the difference between our calendar and the liturgical calendar.

English :  We are still covering the different types of verbs.  This week we will cover the verb of be, helping verbs, and irregular verbs.

Spelling:  Monday we will take our spelling test over unit 10's long vowel o words.  Unit 11 words also have the long vowel sound using the patterns ow, oa, and o.  The next few weeks we will be off schedule as far as having a regular week.  Looks like a lot of spelling test not on Friday.

Math:  This week we will be conducting a survey and drawing and reading a pictograph, Identifying place values to hundreds, writing three-digit numbers in expanded form, and we will also be naming line segments.

Reading: We will be working this week on base words and what the prefix in front of the word does to change the meaning of the word.  We are finishing up Pop's Bridge and we will be taking our test over the story Wednesday and Thursday.

Science :  We are completing our unit on the bones.
