Dear Parent(s),
Thanks for all the wonderful families that showed up for our Christmas concert!!!  The children did an outstanding job!!! Special thanks to Mrs. Arnold who worked with all the children to help make our Christmas Season just a little brighter. Please remember that Friday is our last day before the Christmas break.  The children get out at noon and there is no aftercare that day.  Special shout out to our parents who are preparing for our Christmas party on Friday.  We are blessed to have such wonderful parents who take time to do so many special things for our children. The following our the topics we will be covering this coming week:

Religion 2 and 3 :  We will be doing various activities preparing for Christmas.

English:  We are at the end of a chapter and I would hate to have the children to have to take the test weeks after the material is so fresh in their heads, so we will take our test over Chapter 3 on Wednesday or Thursday.  The children were encouraged to bring their books home this weekend to review the materials.

Math:  We will be making multiplication flashcards this week.  We are starting our chapter where the children have to represent multiplication as repeated addition. The children will also learn how to represent multiplication as an array.

Reading:  This week we will be reading classic Christmas Stories.  We will begin our new story after the Christmas break.

Science:  We will be learning about the planets in our Solar System.  Hopefully, we will get time to make our mobiles.

Spelling:  The children have written their new words in their planners for January 6, 2020. Doesn't that look strange!!!  The words we will be using when we return from our Christmas break are: shook, flash, speech, think, strong, cloth, brook, stitch, string, scratch, fresh, spring, switch, stretch, splash.

Have a wonderful week and if I don't see you sometime this week please have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Just a few updates to our class rooster.  We are losing Kenny Caston as of the Christmas break.  His family has been commuting from St. Charles this pass semester.  I want to wish Kenny the very best at his new school.  We will be adding a new student on Monday.  Her name is Takorie Willis.  I have meet her and she will be a wonderful addition to our classroom.
